We are looking for a self-motivated Manager, Acquisition Email Marketing to join our Online Marketing team.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Email Marketing this position will play a critical hands-on role in our business to lead, and drive the growth of our acquisition email marketing segment.
This position will own all acquisition email communications from inception, production, execution and analytics. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, experienced, and creative self-starter that will jump in and make an immediate impact. You will be an instrumental team member involved in developing, managing, and growing all aspects of email marketing.
Qualified applicants will have a strong online marketing and email marketing background, solid business acumen and good analytical knowledge.
Previous experience in acquisition marketing required!
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategy and execution of all acquisition email marketing for the client’s Online Marketing group, identify new profitable segments and develop new programs while improving existing ones
- Plan, coordinate, and analyze email marketing programs supporting multiple marketing objectives
- Drive overall email capture initiatives to significantly grow customer email list and opt-ins • Effectively manage email marketing production schedules from concept through development and execution
- Forecast sales, orders, revenue, and opt outs from each campaign
- Identify, test and implement new opportunities to improve conversion and customer satisfaction via email communications
- Manage our cobrand online partnerships: contract negotiation and fulfillment, partner management, and quarterly partner reviews.
- Run our affiliate marketing partnerships: develop the strategy, execute programs and optimize results. •
- Manage and optimize the design, content, layout, customer segmentation and messaging strategies of all email communications.
- Coordinate with internal/external teams to develop campaigns, briefs, effective designs and landing experiences for email initiatives
- Develop/manage revenue and expense budgets, adjusting forecasts on an ongoing basis • Generate campaign performance reports, provide analysis and execute on that analysis to ensure positive improvements
- Analyze all key email marketing key performance indicators (KPIs) to continually optimize all email programs, analyzing key components of each campaign, including lists, offers, messaging, creative, deliverability, open rates, click through rates, conversion and average order size Required Competencies/Skills:
- Strong Direct Marketing skills with 7+ years specifically in the email channel and/or acquisition marketing
- Substantive Email marketing experience developing and managing email campaigns, delivering on program objectives, and financial goals
- Strong quantitative/analytical abilities
- Strong understanding of email marketing operations, platforms and technology
- Leadership skills ability to lead teams of people from a variety of functional areas to reach common project goals
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively interact across business functions to deliver effective marketing programs
- Excellent project management, time management, and problem solving skills
- Strong initiative.

- Solid understanding of email delivery and deliverability issues
- Experience working with ESP’s preferred •
- Experience with subscription-based products (magazines, ISP's, cable, wireless, sports tickets, etc.) a plus.
